Amstep Products

Amstep renovation stair treads are the economical way to repair worn, dangerous stairways. These long-lasting treads provide a safe, non-slip surface that exceeds the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) requirements for coefficient of friction (slip resistance).

For more than 85 years Amstep Products, LLC (formerly American Abrasive Metals) has been the leader in stair-tread design and fabrication. Since its founding in 1911, when it designed and produced the first castmetal safety tread, the company has pioneered many concepts in pedestrian safety.

From this pioneering beginning, the company has continuously improved on its products. Amstep Products, LLC utilizes the same non-slip coating provided to the U.S. Navy for virtually all aircraft carrier flight decks since 1940 - where its specialty coatings must withstand the torture of more than 10,000 fighter jet landings as well as severe impact, chemical and moisture conditions.

This world-recognized safety technology experience is reflected in its extraordinarily wide range of safety stair nosings and renovation treads. Each design offers maximum protection against slipping hazards by incorporating the proper blend of abrasive granules, and high-performance polymers with high-strength extruded aluminum alloys.
