A large commercial baking facility for breads with many staircases with worn stairs. Any solution had to be easily cleaned. Any baking ingredients left on the stairs could allow flour and yeast to lead to contamination issues for the baked goods. The surface would have to be nonporous
Amstep 700 series stair treads were installed on all stair cases leading to the production floor. Grey with the optional Yellow sightline was chosen for high visibility. 700 series stair treads are nonporous and prohibit the buildup of raw materials being trapped in the non-slip material. The customer added additional stair cases after the initial installation based on their success.
